    Introducing the MB994IPO-3SB, a rugged full metal dual bay 2.5” SATA/SAS hard drive / SSD mobile rack backplane designed with a Slim Optical Disk Drive (ODD) slot for use in a single external 5.25” bay. It is a device designed with a rugged full metal build commercially designed for: Medical & Military systems, Media servers, IPCs, HTPC, and All-In-One computers, approved & used by Tier 1 companies. Dual 4-pin power connectors are used to ensure secured and consistent power supply to both drives and ODD, whether they are low power consumption 2.5” SATA SSD’s or power hungry 15000 RPM 2.5” SAS drives. Also included is a single 40mm cooling fan with on & off switch to assist the drives running at their optimal temperatures, in even the most intense applications.
    The high-density design of ToughArmor MB994IPO-3SB packs two full-height 2.5" SSD/HDD hot-swap bays and one Slim/CD/DVD/Blu-ray ROM optical disk drive into a single 5.25" drive bay, perfect for space-sensitive applications such as powerhouse PC, portable military workstation, and rackmount industrial PC.
    The MB994IPO-3SB separates itself from the rest of the MB994 series by the unique Slim Optical Disk Drive slot that is available. The Slim ODD slot uses our EZ-ODD Tray made of rugged full metal, and is easily removable by use of the provided key or via a side latch. This allows system integrators more freedom to better meet their potential client’s needs. The EZ-ODD Tray is compatible with any standard Slim Optical Disk Drive with 12.7mm height.

    The MB994IPO-3SB utilizes our EZ Slide Mini Trays, making drive interchangeability and maintenance completely hassle free. The trays are built using rugged full metal so that they are durable for many lifetimes, while will not weigh you down when transporting your data from system to system. Also featuring a full cage design, the added top drive cover provides added layer of protection while moving the drive. The 2.5" HDD trays are designed to accommodate 5mm, 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm & 15mm 2.5" SAS/ SATA SSD/HDD drives, giving you excellent control of your 2.5" hot swap backplane.

    Return Policy

    Thank you for shopping at computerg.shop. If you're not entirely happy with your order, we're here to help — here's how returns, exchanges and refunds work.

    Two return tiers apply — based on whether the item is held in our local stock or sourced from our supplier for your order. Items marked Available to Order are clearly labelled on the product page and at checkout.

    Part A — Standard Returns stocked items

    Eligibility — initiate a return within 14 days of receiving your order. The item must be unused and in its original factory-sealed packaging (anti-tamper seals and shrink-wrap intact), with all accessories, manuals and promotional materials included.

    Restocking fee — a 25% fee applies to eligible returns (inspection, testing and repackaging). It's waived when:

    • ✓The product arrived defective or damaged
    • ✓The product was shipped in error by us
    • ✓The return is due to a warranty issue

    Part B — Items Available to Order not held in local stock

    Items labelled Available to Order are sourced from our supplier specifically for your order, after payment clears. Because they're ordered on your behalf, return terms differ:

    • ›Returns are limited to defective-on-arrival (DOA) cases — once shipped, "changed my mind" or compatibility miscalculations aren't accepted.
    • ›Defects or transit damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photo evidence.
    • ›Other hardware faults within the warranty period — see the Warranty Policy tab.
    • ›At checkout you confirm you've read and accepted these terms before ordering.

    Part C — Common Terms

    Initiating a return — contact support with your order number and item details. We'll send instructions and a return authorisation number. Please don't ship anything back before receiving authorisation.

    Return shipping — you're responsible for the cost of returning the item. Use a trackable method; shipping costs are non-refundable.

    Inspection & approval — once received, our team inspects the item against our eligibility criteria. If approved, we proceed with the refund.

    Refunds — issued to your original payment method; allow up to 5 business days. Shipping is non-refundable; if your order had free shipping, the original shipping cost is deducted from the refund (a new receipt is issued for the deduction).

    Exchanges — Standard Returns items may be exchanged for a different model or specification, subject to availability. You cover any price difference and shipping. Not available for Items Available to Order.

    Damaged or defective items — contact us within 48 hours with photos and a description. We'll provide return instructions and cover return shipping, then send a replacement or full refund after inspection.
